People going out for foreign employment now can pay the insurance fee for Foreign Employment Term Insurance Policy Fee from Khalti Digital Wallet App.

Foreign employment has increased enormously and the workers who seek opportunities overseas are mostly for better employment.

The Department of Foreign Employment made arrangements for every Nepali who planned to go for foreign employment to have term insurance.

So, Khalti Digital Wallet, in collaboration with Jyoti Life Insurance, has made arrangements to pay insurance premiums through both mobile app and website.

After the insurance, the insurance company bears the cost for any worker’s health issue.

The insured person has to fill in the details with their passport number just by clicking on the Department of Foreign Employment (DOFE Insurance) under Government Services inside Khalti app and pay the required insurance fee. Similarly, the payer can also pay Foreign Employment Welfare Fund fee from Khalti.

Khalti, started in January 2017, is an emerging mobile payment solution in Nepal that makes all payments quick and easy, saving users’ time and energy.

It provides various services like utility bill payment services, mobile and DTH recharge, domestic flight and hotel booking, movie and event ticketing, newspaper subscriptions, online shopping sites payments, and insurance premium payments among various other digital payments services.

It also saves money providing cashbacks on various payment services. Khalti is a licensed Payment Service Provider from Nepal Rastra Bank. Currently, more than 14 lakhs people regularly use Khalti for various bill payments services.
